Inter Milan are considering buying back Stankovic in the summer of 2026.
Inter Milan is considering buying back Aleksandar Stankovic from Club Brugge in the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to a report by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Thursday (29/1), the Serie A giants are said to have two buy-back clauses for the young midfielder.

"Inter has a buyback clause of 23 million euros in the summer of 2026, and 25 million euros in the summer of 2027. Inter has been monitoring the player's progress for the past few months," Romano wrote on his X account.

The Nerazzurri sold the Serbian midfielder to Club Brugge last summer for a fee of around 10 million euros, but included a buy-back clause in the deal.

This clause gives Inter the right to re-sign Stankovic at the end of the 2026 and 2027 seasons. This option is now being seriously considered by the club's management as the player's performance continues to improve.

Playing at Jan Breydel Stadium, Stankovic has shown rapid development throughout the season.

The 20-year-old midfielder has emerged as one of the most prominent players in the Club Brugge squad and has performed consistently in various competitions.

Statistically, Stankovic's contribution has been quite impressive. In 35 appearances across all competitions, he has scored five goals and provided seven assists, a record that confirms his role as the driving force of Brugge's midfield.

This brilliant performance is believed to have made Inter even more determined to activate the buyback option next summer. The Nerazzurri's need for additional midfield strength is also increasingly pressing.
