Ivory Coast: the Prime Minister presents his new government

It is a government placed under the sign of continuity. In Ivory Coast, Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé announced his new government on Friday evening, two days after his appointment.

A government almost identical to the previous one. Some changes should be noted with Koffi N'Guessan leaving Technical Education for the Ministry of National Education and Nialé Kaba moving from the Ministry of Planning to that of Foreign Affairs.

Téné Birahima Ouattara, brother of the Head of State, keeps the Ministry of Defense and obtains a new portfolio, that of Deputy Prime Minister.

Among the outgoing ministers, Léon Kacou Adom, previously Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bouaké Fofana who headed the Ministry of Hydraulics, Sanitation and Sanitation, Laurent Tchagba for Water and Forests. One of the most notable departures is that of Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development since 2019.

These appointments come after the resignation of the previous government, a month after the legislative elections. A vote won by the ruling party which has nearly 80% of the deputies of the National Assembly. Last October, President Alassane Ouattara was re-elected for a fourth term with nearly 90% of the vote.
