Indonesian tennis player Janice Tjen and her Polish partner Katarzyna Piter advanced to the semifinals of the women's doubles at the 2026 Hobart International after defeating Nadiia Kichenok/Makoto Ninomiya 6-3, 7-5, 10-7 in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.
According to the WTA, Janice/Piter won the first set by converting two of four break point opportunities . However, the Ukraine/Japan pair rallied in the second set to deny the Indonesian/Polish pair a straight-sets victory.
The match progressed to a tightly contested super tiebreaker . Janice/Piter's superior serve and return points proved enough to defeat Kichenok/Ninomiya.
