Janice/Piter lost to the host pair at the Australian Open  Indonesian women's tennis player Janice Tjen and her Polish partner Katarzyna Piter were eliminated in the first round of the Australian Open doubles after losing to the home pair.

Janice/Piter, who advanced smoothly, dropping only one game in the first set, had to fight when Daria Kasatkina/Arina Rodionova came back in the second set and became stronger in the tight deciding set.

After two hours and five minutes, Janice/Piter, who won the WTA 250 Hobart title last week, were forced to surrender by the wild card pair with 6-1, 4-6, 4-6, according to the match results quoted from the official Australian Open website.

In the match, which took place on Court 5, Janice/Piter recorded four aces and 34 winners, significantly outperforming their opponents, who recorded one ace and 22 winners . However, according to match statistics, Kasatkina/Rodionova had the upper hand in long rallies.
