Shayne was announced by Persija on Friday afternoon, hours after his previous club, Buriram United, released the left-back. Shayne signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with an option to extend.
"We'll meet again today, and he definitely needs help. We'll try to give him a warm welcome. So, it's great to have him with us," Jordi said at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta on Friday after helping his team beat Madura United 2-0.
After being announced on Friday afternoon, Shayne immediately arrived at Senayan that evening to watch Persija play Madura United.
The 27-year-old left-back was seen watching live, sitting close to the new Indonesian national team coach, John Herdman, and assistant coach Cesar Meylan.
