Jordi Amat feels he has no difficulty playing as a defensive midfielder

  Persija center-back Jordi Amat said he had no difficulty playing his new role after becoming a defensive midfielder in the 2-0 win against Madura United at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium.

Jordi played further forward after Persija faced a midfield crisis due to the suspension of Van Basty Sousa and Fabio Silva.

"We discussed it with Mauricio Souza this week. And we agreed that I should play in that position (midfield)," Jordi said in Jakarta a few hours ago.

Jordi admitted that he had no difficulty because he had played in that position at KAS Eupen, Rayo Vallecano, Real Betis, Swansea City, and Johor Darul Ta'zim.

"I've played in that position a few times before, so I'm really happy to be able to help. I'm also happy with the performance," said the 33-year-old defender.
