Bali United player Kadek Arel Priyatna has become a member of the executive committee (exco) of the Indonesian Professional Footballers Association (APPI) for the 2026-2029 period.
"This is my next challenge as a young player to carry out this task, and I am very proud because this is part of developing Indonesian football," said Kadek Arel Priyatna in Denpasar, Bali, on Monday.
According to him, his participation in the organization will be a new challenge considering that he joined as a representative of young footballers in Indonesia.
The Bali United defender will formulate a targeted work plan and implementation plan for all professional footballers in Indonesia until 2029.
The captain of the Indonesian U23 National Team sits on the management board alongside other big names such as Sutanto Tan, Andritany Ardhiyasa, Achmad Jufriyanto and female player Shalika Aurelia.
The 20-year-old player hopes that his participation in the organization can contribute to the development of Indonesian football.
The player from Buleleng Regency, Bali, believes that the development of Indonesian football has progressed, although there are still shortcomings that need to be addressed for the advancement of Indonesian football.
APPI was founded in 2008 and is an organization under the auspices of FIFPRO or the world footballers' association recognized by the World Football Federation (FIFA).
The organization serves as a forum that protects rights, provides education, and builds solidarity, as well as a platform for every professional football athlete in Indonesia.
Apart from Arel, former Bali United goalkeeper, Nadeo Argawinata was also elected as APPI Vice President accompanying Hanif Sjahbandi as APPI President.
