Indonesian female para chess athlete Aisah Wijayanti Putri Brahmana won five medals at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games (APG) in Thailand, despite having to leave her five-month-old baby behind during the national training and competition.
He explained that this achievement was the result of his immense sacrifice for the nation and state, which involved leaving his newborn child in August 2025.
"During the national training, I had to leave my child with my parents. It was very sad to leave a newborn child, but for the sake of Indonesia, I had to fight," said Putri in Nakhon Ratchasima on Monday.
