Liverpool were held to another draw by their opponents, this time a 1-1 draw against Burnley, in the 22nd week of the 2025/2026 Premier League match played at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool, Saturday.This result marks Liverpool's fourth consecutive draw in the Premier League. The added point moves the Reds to fourth place in the standings with 36 points, 13 points behind leaders Arsenal, who play Nottingham Forest early Sunday morning WIB.
Meanwhile, for Burnley, the draw wasn't enough to lift them out of the relegation zone. Burnley currently sits in 19th place in the standings with 14 points, seven points behind Forest, who are in 17th place.
Liverpool, who dominated possession with 73 percent to Burnley's 27 percent, were awarded a penalty in the 32nd minute for a foul on Cody Gakpo in the box. However, Liverpool's penalty taker, Dominik Szoboszlai, failed to find the back of the net.
The hosts finally broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute. From a chaotic situation in front of the Burnley goal, Curtis Jones sent the ball in for Florian Wirtz to convert.
However, Liverpool's lead only lasted until the 65th minute. Burnley equalized when Florentino Luis crossed for Marcus Edwards, who beat goalkeeper Alisson to make it 1-1.
West Ham won 2-1 over Tottenham Hotspur
In another match between two London teams, bottom-of-the-table West Ham United opened up a chance to escape the relegation zone thanks to a 2-1 victory at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Hammers currently sit in 18th place in the table with 17 points, four points behind 17th-placed Forest. Spurs, meanwhile, suffered their sixth defeat of the season, leaving them stuck in 14th place with 27 points.
West Ham broke the deadlock in the 15th minute. Starting with an attacking move from the back, the ball was controlled by Crysencio Summerville, who then broke into the Spurs penalty area and unleashed a shot that hit Micky van de Ven, then turned and wrong-footed goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.
