Persik Kediri coach Marcos Reina said his team's new players, brought in during the 2025/2026 mid-season transfer window, can adapt quickly.
Quoted from the official I.League website, Thursday, Reina said that the newly brought in players can follow the training menu provided ahead of the second round of the Super League.
Marcos explained that the new players brought in during the second half of this season have the quality and profile to suit the playing style he wants to implement at Persik Kediri.
The Spanish coach is trying to help the players, especially the new foreign crew, adapt, both in terms of tactics and improving their physical condition, and he revealed that the players' fitness levels are not yet completely even.
"Some of them come from teams that were already playing regularly. But there are also some who haven't played for a few weeks. So now they have to work hard to improve their physical condition so their fitness levels can improve," said Marcos.
Persik Kediri in the mid-season transfer market has brought in five players, namely Chechu Meneses, Adrian Luna, Jon Toral, Rezaldi Hehanusa and Hamra Hehanusa.
The five players have varying fitness levels due to the break from official matches, which means they need to recover their physical and tactile skills quickly.
Despite this, Marcos is quite optimistic that the new local and foreign players will be ready to play soon, and he and his coaching staff continue to maximize training time to speed up the adaptation process.
"I'm happy to be working with them. We're trying to get them ready to play as quickly as possible, especially for the match against Malut United. This is a crucial match for Persik Kediri's progress in the second round. We have to start with a good performance and result," said Marcos.
Furthermore, the contribution of new players can be present when Persik Kediri plays in the 18th week of the Super League against Malut United at the Gelora Kie Raha Stadium, Ternate.
