Mega Tia serves the country through physiotherapy
Dedication to the Red and White in the field of sports is not always manifested through struggles on the competition arena and winning medals on the podium.

For Mega Tia Nurfaiza, that dedication comes through a quiet but crucial profession, namely as a physiotherapist for the Indonesian para-judo team.

From the 2023 ASEAN Para Games (APG) in Cambodia to the 2025 APG in Thailand, he has consistently been behind the scenes, ensuring athletes are ready to compete, recover quickly, and avoid injuries that could hinder their performance.

The 26-year-old woman from Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, is part of the athlete support team whose role often escapes the spotlight.

However, without the work of physiotherapists, athletes' performance on the field will never reach its peak. Injuries can strike at any time and often require a long recovery time.

In every training session and match, Mega is present as the guardian of physical condition, nurturing hope, and strengthening the body.

The graduate of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta is now one of the physiotherapists assigned by the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC) to assist para-judo athletes, as well as several other sports.

This assignment requires flexibility, precision, and high sensitivity to the diverse conditions of each athlete.

During the training camp, Mega and the physiotherapy team carried out an integrated program in Solo City.

In one location, they serve multiple Paralympic sports, making cross-disciplinary collaboration key.

In para judo, he works alongside doctors and massage therapists , building synergy for one goal: optimal performance in the competition arena.

The presence of physiotherapists is not only to treat injuries, but also to carry out prevention.

Performance-supporting exercises, muscle strengthening, and post-workout recovery programs are part of the daily routine.

All of this is designed taking into account the characteristics of the sport of judo, which demands high strength, balance and endurance.

Without a high level of dedication to helping athletes, achievements can easily slip away before our eyes.
