Persis Solo continues to strengthen its squad for the second round of the 2025/2026 BRI Super League by bringing in midfielder Miroslav Maricic.
Maricic is Persis' fourth new player in the second round, following the arrivals of Alfriyanto Nico, goalkeeper Vukasin Vranes, and defender Dusan Mijic. Maricic, Vranes, and Mijic are all foreign players from Serbia.
"Persis has brought in foreign attacking midfielder Miroslav Maricic to strengthen Laskar Sambernyawa in the 2025/2026 BRI Super League. The presence of this Serbian player is expected to add strength and creativity to Persis' midfield," the official Persis website reported on Tuesday.
Maricic last played for FK Radnik Bijeljina in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Premier League. He made 41 appearances for the team, scoring three goals and providing one assist since joining the club last season.
The 27-year-old player admitted that he can't wait to defend Persis in the second round which will start against Borneo FC at Manahan Stadium this week, Friday (23/1) at 15.30 WIB.
