New public spaces at Daihatsu Indonesia Masters
New public spaces are now present at the 2026 Daihatsu Indonesia Masters which is taking place at Istora, Senayan.

Unlike previous editions, this BWF super 500 class badminton competition now provides a much more family-friendly public space, such as the presence of a kids zone and booths that invite fans to enjoy badminton from a sportainment perspective.

"We've changed a lot of things, including the facilities for attendees. Now you don't have to worry about getting caught in the rain; we've prepared everything for an indoor environment," Achmad Budiharto, the organizing committee for the 2026 Diahatsu Indonesia Masters, told reporters on Tuesday.

"We're doing this because we want to boost the enthusiasm of the Indonesian badminton community," he added.

Unlike previous years, the organizing committee is now opening access to Istora to the general public, even those without tickets to the 2026 Indonesia Masters.

This effort was made to further introduce badminton as a sport that is very popular with the public.

In addition, the committee has also lowered ticket prices for the 2026 Indonesia Masters in the hope of attracting public interest in watching the Indonesian badminton team compete in person.

The tournament, which was attended by 274 badminton players from 21 countries, competed for a total prize of US$500,000 or Rp8 billion.

The Indonesian team has set a target of winning two titles from the five categories contested at the 2026 Indonesia Masters.
