Papua Mountains rower Stevani Maysche Ibo is aiming for a medal at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan.
"I ask for support and prayers from all Indonesians and also the people of Papua, so that I can win a medal at the Asian Games," he told.
The winner of two gold medals at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand was again called to join the centralized training camp (TC) at the Jatiluhur Reservoir, West Java, in preparation for the Asian Games to be held in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City, Japan, from September 19 to October 4, 2026.

"Later at the Japanese Asian Games, I will compete in the canoeing category," he said.
He explained that in the largest multi-sport event in Asia, the toughest competitors were from China, but also Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
Stevani expressed her desire to be able to appear in the international sporting event held every four years, namely the Olympics.
"The Olympics is one of my goals. Hopefully, I can participate in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, United States," he said.
