Peace and stability are the primary prerequisites for growth and prosperity. There can be no prosperity without peace," Prabowo said.
Prabowo said the world is currently facing challenging conditions, marked by ongoing conflicts and weakening trust between countries, institutions, and nations.
In this context, the President emphasized that there can be no prosperity without peace, and stability is an important foundation for long-term economic development.
In his speech, the President also touched on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) assessment, which described Indonesia as a bright spot in the global economy.
This assessment is based on Indonesia's economic performance, which remains strong amid external pressures, including trade tensions, tightening global financial conditions, and international political uncertainty.
Prabowo explained that the Indonesian economy has recorded growth of more than 5 percent per year for the past few decades.
The President is optimistic that economic growth this year will be higher, with inflation remaining at around 2 percent and the government budget deficit successfully suppressed to below 3 percent.
According to the President, international institutions' recognition of Indonesia's economic resilience is not based on baseless optimism, but rather on concrete evidence of economic performance.
Prabowo assessed that national economic policies have been formulated and implemented in a calibrated manner.
Prabowo also emphasized that the peace and stability maintained in Indonesia over the years did not occur by chance or due to luck.
