The PSIM website on Thursday reported that PSIM Yogyakarta Manager Razzi Taruna called it a strategic move for the player's career.
"Yes, we confirm that PSIM has loaned Iksan Chan to a team in League 2 (Pegadaian Championship) to gain playing time," said Razzi.
He said competition in the Laskar Mataram wing sector was quite tight this season and the presence of foreign and senior players limited Iksan's playing opportunities.
"Because Iksan Chan plays as a winger, and now PSIM has foreign players and other senior players on the wing," Razzi continued.
