Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is doubtful that midfielder Declan Rice will be able to play in the 2025/2026 Premier League match against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth, on Sunday (4/1) early morning WIB.
"We are continuing to monitor his condition," Arteta was quoted as saying on Arsenal's official website.
Declan Rice was also previously absent when Arsenal beat Aston Villa 4-1, Wednesday (31/12) early morning WIB due to knee muscle inflammation.
Then, Arteta also confirmed that his team's two defenders, Ricardo Calafiori and Christian Mosquera, would not appear against Bournemouth.
This reduces Arsenal's defensive depth. However, Arteta still took the positive side, stating that his team has had far fewer injuries this season compared to the last three seasons.
