Senegal advanced to the final after defeating Egypt 1-0.  The Senegalese national team advanced to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final after defeating the Egyptian national team 1-0 in the semifinal match at the Grand Stade de Tangier Stadium, Tangier, Morocco, on Wednesday local time.

In this match, Senegal's victory over Egypt came thanks to the only goal scored by striker Sadio Mane when the match was 78 minutes old, according to CAF records.

Thanks to this victory, Senegal secured their place in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat, Monday (19/1) at 02.00 WIB.

On the other hand, Egypt, who suffered defeat, will still play in the match for third place in the 2025 African Cup of Nations at the Mohammed V Stadium, Casablanca, Saturday (17/1) at 23.00 WIB.

Senegal took the initiative to attack first and immediately threatened through Nicholas Jackson's kick which still missed the target.

Next, it was Habib Diarra's turn to create a chance for Senegal, but his shot was saved by Egyptian goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy.

Egypt tried to turn the tide and threaten Senegal's defense, but their efforts were still fruitless.

Entering the second half, Senegal again played an attacking game and created another opportunity through Lamine Camara, who was again saved by El Shenawy.

Senegal created another chance, this time through a shot released by Iliman Ndiaye, but the ball still went wide of the left side of the Egyptian goal.

The Lions of Teranga squad finally managed to break the deadlock and took the lead in the 78th minute thanks to a goal scored by Sadio Mane, making the score 1-0.

In the remaining time, Egypt tried to at least equalize, but until the match ended, the score remained 1-0 for Senegal's victory.
