The Class I Immigration Office of Tanjungpinang TPI, Riau Islands Province (Kepri) deported a foreign national (WNA) from Singapore with the initials MS, for violating the limit of his stay permit.
"The foreign national in question was returned to his country of origin after being found to have exceeded the period of stay granted or overstayed ," said Kusmartono, Head of the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Section, Class I TPI Tanjungpinang Immigration Office, in Tanjungpinang, Thursday.
He said the deportation process was carried out on Thursday (22/1) morning, escorted by officers from the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Section of the Class I TPI Tanjungpinang Immigration Office.
The residents were sent off using the Majestic Fast Ferry Wavemaster 3 from Sri Bintan Pura International Port (SBP) Tanjungpinang with the destination of Tanah Merah Port, Singapore.

"This is a sanction for violators of immigration regulations due to overstaying for more than two months," he said.
He said that this deportation activity was part of the immigration law enforcement efforts and the commitment of the Tanjungpinang Class I TPI Immigration Office to maintain order and sovereignty of the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, especially in border areas.
