The 12th Plenary Session of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) for Session Period III of the 2025-2026 Session Year approved nine names from the fit and proper test conducted by Commission II of the DPR RI to become members of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2026-2031 period.
"Can the report of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) on the results of the fit and proper test for candidates for the Indonesian Ombudsman for the 2026-2031 term be approved?" said Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI Saan Mustopa at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Tuesday, to which the DPR RI members in attendance responded in the affirmative.
The names that have been agreed upon are, the Chairman of the Ombudsman will be held by Hery Susanto, the Deputy Chairman of the Ombudsman will be held by Rahmadi Indra Tektona.
Meanwhile, the names who will become members of the Ombudsman are Abdul Ghoffar, Fikri Yasin, Maneger Nasution, Nuzran Joher, Partono, Robertus Na Endi Jaweng, and Syafrida Rachmawati Rasahan.
The nine members of the Ombudsman were present at the plenary session and were introduced to all members of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) in attendance. They then posed for a photo with the DPR RI leadership.
Previously, Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives agreed on nine names who would become members of the Republic of Indonesia Ombudsman for the 2026-2031 period, along with appointing a chairman and deputy chairman.
Rifqinizamy Karsayuda, Chairman of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), stated that the agreement on the nine names was reached through an internal meeting with consensus from eight political party factions, after the prospective members underwent a fit and proper test. The nine names were selected from 18 candidates who participated in the test.
