The Indonesian para-swimming team tested out the 2025 ASEAN Para Games Thailand competition venue for the sport, located at the 80th Birthday Stadium's Aquatic Center, Nakhon Ratchasima, on Tuesday.
Indonesian para-swimming team coach Agni Herarta explained that the preparations were carried out continuously to ensure the athletes' physical and technical condition was at an optimal level when the competition began on Wednesday (21/1).
"We have participated in the classification more than twice," he said, during practice.
Agni said that all athletes who had participated in the first and second classification processes had been declared to have passed.
This result provides important capital for the team to focus on refining their strategy and maintaining their fitness ahead of the first match.
He further explained that after the classification process was completed, the training program would continue without reducing the intensity.
The team continued training until the last day before the competition, with an emphasis on strengthening swimming techniques, tempo consistency, and adapting the athletes' physical condition.
The athletes who have been declared to have passed the classification come from several classes, namely S4, S6, S8, and S14.
