Tottenham appoint Rafi Moersen as Director of Football Operations
Tottenham Hotspur announced the appointment of Carlos Raphael Moersen from City Football Group (CFG) to the newly created role of director of football operations, as quoted from Spurs' official website on Thursday.

"Rafi will lead our football administration, player management and training ground operations, and will join the club's executive leadership team," Spurs said in a statement.

“A key part of her role will be overseeing women’s football, where we will continue to drive renewed focus and ambition for Tottenham Hotspur Women.”

Moersen is currently on gardening leave from CFG and is scheduled to join Spurs ahead of the summer transfer window.

He is not considered a replacement for Fabio Paratici, who will leave to join Fiorentina on February 4, but will instead work alongside Tottenham's incumbent sporting director Johan Lange.

Moersen, known as Rafi, has spent more than a decade at CFG, most recently serving as director of football transactions.

She will report to Lange, except for women's football, where she will report directly to Spurs CEO Vinai Venkatesham.

Next month, Dan Lewindon is also scheduled to join Spurs from CFG as performance director, with responsibility for medicine, sports science, nutrition and psychology across the men's and women's teams and the academy.
