West Pasaman Police: Maintain security and order during New Year's Eve
  The West Pasaman Police in West Sumatra reminded the public to maintain security and order during the New Year.

"Hold events with an Islamic nuance. Don't use fireworks and don't hold illegal races," said West Pasaman Police Chief, AKBP Agung Tribawanto, at Simpang Empat, West Pasaman.

According to him, in the jurisdiction of the West Pasaman Police, around 150 personnel were deployed at New Year's Eve to secure the New Year's Eve celebrations.

West Pasaman Police personnel down to the Polsek level will target crowded places such as markets, tourist attractions and crowded places.

"We're conducting patrols, including regulating traffic flow. In the district capital, specifically at Simpang Empat, the center of the crowds, the area around the regent's office will be safe ," he said.

The police urge the public to maintain security and order during the New Year.

"Let's welcome the new year by praying for a better future and avoiding various disasters," he said.

During the Christmas and New Year operations, the party has set up six service and security posts.

Two security posts are located at the Air Bangis tourist attraction, Jorong Kampung Padang Selatan, Air Bangis Village, Sungai Beremas District and Jorong Pondok Village, Ranah Pasisie Village, Sasak Ranah Pasisie District.

Four service posts are located in Jorong Kampung Baru Nagari Batahan Barat, Ranah Batahan District and Jorong Perhimpunan Nagari Talu, Talamau District.

"Other service posts are located in Jorong Jambak, Nagari Jambak Selatan, Luhak Nan Duo District and Jorong Sungai Paku, Nagari Ampek Koto, Kinali District," he explained.
