Ardana aims for higher achievements after winning gold at the SEA Games
Indonesian rock climber Ardana Cikal Darmawulan is aiming for a higher level of achievement after successfully winning a gold medal in the men's lead climbing event at the 2025 SEA Games.

"The 2025 SEA Games will be the beginning of the major achievements I want to achieve, namely the World Championships, the Asian Championships, and the Olympics," said Ardana Cikal Darmawulan at a press conference for the South East Asia (SEA) Boulder League in Jakarta on Saturday.

He revealed that his success in the largest multi-sport event in Southeast Asia was the result of a long process of pursuing rock climbing since the age of around eight.

The 15-year-old athlete expressed gratitude for realizing his dream of becoming a champion on the international stage. However, Ardana emphasized that he wasn't entirely satisfied with his achievements at the Southeast Asian level.

Despite his young age, Ardana is determined to continue practicing and honing his skills so that one day he can bring glory to Indonesia on a bigger stage, both in Asia and the world.
