Arema FC management has decided not to continue its collaboration with one of its foreign backline pillars, Odivan Koerich.
Arema FC General Manager Yusrinal Fitriandi stated in Malang City, East Java, on Wednesday that the decision to no longer use the services of the Brazilian player was purely due to the results of the team's performance evaluation throughout the first round of the 2025/2026 BRI Super League season.
"We thank Odivan for his dedication and professionalism. This decision is the result of a mid-season evaluation aimed at optimizing the team's composition to be more competitive in the Super League," said Yusrinal.
Odivan Koerich was brought in by Arema FC at the start of this season. The center-back was drafted in to bolster the defense of the team nicknamed "Singo Edan ."
Since joining Arema FC, the 26-year-old defender has only made eight appearances, totaling 475 minutes. He's been outclassed by other defenders.
