Arteta: 9-point lead means nothing, we have to keep winning
Arsenal are increasingly solid at the top of the 2025/26 Premier League standings after securing a convincing 3-0 victory over Sunderland in London on Saturday (7/2).

This result means the Gunners now have 56 points from 25 matches, nine points ahead of their nearest rivals. However, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta emphasized that the points gap is meaningless.

"(The 9-point lead) means nothing. We still have to keep winning games to achieve our target, so let's not focus on that. That's another thing," the Spanish coach was quoted as saying by ESPN on Sunday.

On the same day, one of Arsenal's rivals, Aston Villa, failed to get full points after being held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth.
