Bali United is wary of Persebaya's transition tactics.
Bali United coach Johnny Jansen is wary of Persebaya Surabaya coach Bernardo Tavares' transition tactics ahead of the two teams' duel in the 20th week of the 2025/2026 Super League at Dipta Stadium, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Saturday (7/2) at 20.00 WITA.

"He (Bernardo) has a clear game plan, he's good at transition tactics," said Johnny Jansen at the Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, on Friday.

The Dutch coach also read the movements of the visiting team, which is known for its quick counter-attacks.

The former PEC Zwolle coach admitted that the counter-attacks frequently carried out by the squad nicknamed Bajul Ijo made it difficult to control the ball.

To that end, he has prepared tactics to deal with the visiting team from Surabaya. "Tomorrow's match will be a tough one," he added.

The reason is, both teams are expected to play aggressively after in the first round the Bali team conceded five goals against Persebaya with a score of 5-2 in Surabaya.

Although the match against Persebaya is considered a tough one, the absence of two of the visiting team's main foreign players, Bruno Moreira and Milos Raickovic, due to accumulated cards, will certainly benefit the hosts.

However, Johnny admitted that he was not worried about this because Bernardo would bring in other key players.

Currently, the team from the Island of the Gods is in the middle of the standings, namely in eighth place with 28 points, while Persebaya has collected 32 points and is perched in fifth place.
