Secretary General of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Central Tb. Lukman Djajadikusuma confirmed that Bima Arya, who also serves as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, will soon be inaugurated as general chairman of the Central Board of the Indonesian Trail Running Association (PP ALTI) by the Central KONI.
Previously, the Central KONI received an audience with PP ALTI led by the General Secretary of PP ALTI Donny Gahral at the Central KONI Office in Senayan, Jakarta, Monday.
During the hearing, the ALTI Central Executive Board reported on the results of the ALTI National Conference (Munas) held on July 4, 2025, which elected Bima Arya as the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the ALTI Central Executive Board for the next term, with the hope that the newly formed management could be confirmed and inaugurated soon.
"We appreciate the activities carried out by ALTI and welcome the planned inauguration of the new management. We hope that with this new management, trail running can be competed in international multi-events," said KONI Secretary General Lukman Djajadikusuma in an official statement on Tuesday.
In the future, Memos, as he is familiarly known, said that ALTI needs to actively coordinate, socialize, and consolidate with the SEA Games organizers so that trail running has the opportunity to be competed in the championship.
Meanwhile, Donny Gahral explained that ALTI is preparing three important championships in the next calendar year.
"The championships in question are: first, the SEATRC Championship, which will be held from July 24 to 26, 2026, at Mount Gede Pangrango. Second, we are preparing for the National Championship, and so far the Jambi Provincial Board (Pengprov) has offered to host it. Third, ALTI will participate in the Asia Pacific Trail Running Championship (APTRC) in China from November 12 to 15, 2026," said Donny.
It is planned that the newly formed PP ALTI management will be confirmed and inaugurated on February 12.
