Borneo FC coach Fabio Lefundes has asked his players to be more wary of the new players brought in by Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC in the second round.
"We all know they've acquired a new player who's good, strong, and highly mobile. Moreover, the opposing team has a strong defense and is starting to show more consistency than before," he said at a press conference in Bandarlampung on Friday.
He believes the presence of three new players in the opposing squad makes their attack line more dangerous than before, especially since two of them have extensive experience in the Indonesian League.
"However, we also have several new players. This means we have to change our playing style, but I hope the players who have arrived can perform well and make a big contribution to tomorrow's match," he said.
He emphasized that the upcoming match will be a crucial moment in the competition at the top of the standings, considering that both teams achieved positive results in their previous matches.
"Tomorrow's match is important for us because both teams achieved good results in their last matches. Tomorrow is a great opportunity to compete for the top spot, even though both teams have different goals," he said.
He also said that Bhayangkara is a strong team at home, but Borneo is also a good team.
"They've only lost once at home, so we have to be much more focused. It means they're strong at home, but we're also a good team," he said.
Meanwhile, Borneo FC player Komang Teguh stated that his team is ready for this important match and is trying its best to maintain its position at the top of the standings.
"This match is crucial for us to stay at the top of the table. We will give our best and work hard for the team," he said.
