Hangtuah Jakarta coach Wahyu Widayat Jati stated that his team's competitive mentality remains their main challenge, following their 57-77 defeat against Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung in the 2026 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL).
According to him, the crushing defeat at Bandung Arena, Bandung City, West Java, Sunday night, showed the same problem for Hangtuah again, related to a decline in performance after the match break.
"Yes, we're back to our initial setup. What I mean is, after halftime , we're always bad. I don't know why that is. We haven't been able to solve this yet," Wahyu said after the match.
He assessed that the team had difficulty maintaining consistency in its game, both from local and foreign players, so that the momentum of the match often turned around in the second half or the last two quarters.
