The Indonesian national team will compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Series, which is scheduled to be held in Jakarta at the end of March.
In this biennial event, Indonesia hosted three countries from different confederations, namely Bulgaria (UEFA), Solomon Islands (OFC), and Saint Kitts and Nevis (CONCACAF).
In terms of FIFA rankings, Bulgaria holds the highest ranking of 88 in the world. Indonesia is ranked 122, followed by the Solomon Islands at 152, and Saint Kitts and Nevis at 154.
This international friendly match between countries from various confederations will be played in a knockout format, starting with the semifinals, the third place match, and the final.
The Chairman of the National Team Body (BTN) Sumardji confirmed that the Indonesian national team will face Saint Kitts and Nevis in the 2026 FIFA Series in semifinal 1 on March 27, precisely at 8:00 PM WIB.
Previously, Sumardji said, the second semifinal match between Bulgaria and the Solomon Islands would be held at 15.30 WIB.
"Semifinal 1: Indonesia vs. St. Kitts Nevis - March 27, 2026, 8 p.m. Semifinal 2: Bulgaria vs. Solomon Island, 3:30 p.m.," Sumardji wrote when contacted.
The winners of these semifinal matches will advance to the final, which will be held on March 30 at 8:00 PM WIB. The losing team will play the third-place match on the same day at 3:30 PM WIB.
"3rd place - March 30, 2026, 3:30 p.m. Final - March 30, 2026, 8 p.m.," added the man who recently resigned from his position as manager of the Indonesian national team.
