PSIM Yogyakarta has loaned assistant coach Erwan Hendarwanto to Championship club Garudayaksa FC until the end of the season.
This decision was taken after a direct request from the coach from Magelang to develop his career.
"This is purely a professional decision, as I see it as an opportunity for my career. Therefore, I've asked management for permission to temporarily relocate there," Erwan said on the PSIM website on Tuesday.
PSIM manager Razzi Taruna admitted that it was hard to let go of Erwan, who played a role in bringing Laskar Mataram back to the top division.
"Honestly, we as management still really need his services on this team. However, Coach Erwan came and spoke sincerely with us, asking for permission to take on this challenge for the good of his career," said Razzi.
"Because this was purely his personal request and decision, we couldn't hold back and finally, with a heavy heart, accepted the request," he continued.
