Boxer Brandon Figueroa scored a knockout (KO) against Nick Ball to win the World Boxing Association (WBA) featherweight (57.1 kg) world title in a fight at the M&S Arena, Liverpool, England.
Based on the results of the fight broadcast by DAZN monitored in Jakarta, Monday, the fight was tight and difficult to predict until Figueroa landed a left hook less than 10 seconds after the final round began.
Ball was explosive from the start. Boxing from a southpaw stance , Figueroa struggled to stop the champion, who kept getting into range. Figueroa was shaken by a short right hand and his head swung from a series of uppercuts during the first clinch .
