Jordan Stolz of the United States (US) won gold with a time of 1 minute 6.28 seconds, breaking the previous Olympic record set by Dutch athlete Gerard van Velde in Salt Lake City 2002.
Stolz finished 0.5 seconds faster than Dutch silver medalist Jenning de Boo.
