The office said in a statement that "in light of the ongoing political and administrative developments, and in order to ensure the regularity of institutional work and the continuity of providing basic services, it reiterates its welcome to the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, and emphasizes the importance of its urgent presence to begin its tasks and assume its national responsibilities."
The statement added that the government "affirms its full readiness to transfer the relevant powers, and its preparedness for all related procedures, in accordance with professional and legal frameworks that guarantee the protection of the rights of citizens and employees, and ensure the continuity of services without interruption and with the highest levels of efficiency and transparency."
He added that "all government institutions and departments in Gaza and their employees in various sectors are fully prepared to cooperate with the committee in a way that serves the public interest, contributes to improving the level of services, alleviates the suffering of citizens, and enhances administrative and institutional stability."
The statement affirmed "the unity of the Palestinian land and the unity of the geopolitical landscape between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip," stressing that "strengthening national unity and internal cohesion constitutes a top national priority at this sensitive stage."
The call from the government media office comes amid the "National Committee" not having begun its work from within the sector.
The National Committee for the Administration of the Gaza Strip began its work from the Egyptian capital, Cairo, in mid-January, one day after its formation was announced.
The entry of the committee members requires field and security coordination through the crossings under Israeli control, while no official statement has been issued by the committee explaining the reasons for the delay in their entry, and Israel has not commented on this matter.
With American support, Israel began a genocidal war on Gaza on October 8, 2023, which lasted two years and left more than 72,000 Palestinian martyrs and more than 171,000 wounded, most of them children and women, and destruction that affected 90% of the civilian infrastructure.
On a daily basis, Israel violates the ceasefire agreement, which has been in effect in the Gaza Strip since October 10, 2025, resulting in the deaths of 591 Palestinians. It also prevents the entry of agreed-upon quantities of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
