The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas) announced that the implementation of the Electronic Motor Vehicle Ownership Book (E-BPKB) innovation is equipped with high-level security technology in the form of RFID chips and QR codes designed to minimize the risk of data forgery, loss, or misuse.
"Physically, the e-BPKB remains in book form, smaller than the previous generation of BPKBs. This document is equipped with high-level security technology in the form of an RFID chip and QR Code designed to minimize the risk of forgery, loss, and misuse of data," said the Director of Registration and Identification (Dirregident) of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps, Brigadier General Wibowo.
Wibowo explained that E-BPKB is a digital innovation that transforms conventional BPKB into a BPKB equipped with a safer, faster, and more transparent electronic system.
All motor vehicle data and the identities of their owners are stored digitally and integrated into the police system, thereby increasing the accuracy of national data.
Wibowo emphasized that the implementation of E-BPKB provides real convenience for the public in various motor vehicle administration processes, such as name changes, mutations, and changes to vehicle data.
On the other hand, E-BPKB is also an important instrument in supporting the effectiveness of police duties, particularly in supervision, law enforcement, and increasing the validity and accuracy of motor vehicle data.
