Indonesian women's tennis player Janice Tjen was stopped in the second round of the Qatar Total Energies Open 2026 in Doha on Tuesday after losing to world No. 2 Iga Swiatek.
Janice, who received a wildcard into the WTA 1000 event, was unable to overcome the aggressive performance of top seed Swiatek and was forced to surrender 0-6, 3-6, as reported by the WTA.
Swiatek dominated the match from the first game, with crosscourt winners being the Polish tennis player's main weapon.
Intimidating through short points, Swiatek didn't allow Janice to develop her game while the Jakarta-born player struggled with her serve.
