Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung coach Djordje Jovicic emphasized the importance of preparing a mature strategy and tactics to face a strong Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) team like Hangtuah Jakarta.
According to him, the 77-57 victory in the 2026 IBL match, at the Bandung Arena, Bandung City, West Java, on Sunday night, was thanks to the team's detailed preparation, which enabled them to anticipate various player movements from the opponent.
"My team played well. I mean, we kept up the pace and played good defense," Jovicic said after the match.
He explained that the victory was due to the team's readiness to assess the opponent's strengths before the match began, including determining a game approach that suited the players' personalities.
He further explained that Satria Muda always places the defense aspect as the main foundation before developing an attack pattern.
