The Indonesian men's team trailed Malaysia 0-2 in the Group D title-winning match of the 2026 Asian Team Championships (BATC) after the men's doubles pair Leo Rolly Carnando and Bagas Maulana failed to contribute a point in the second match.
Competing at the Conson Gymnasium, Qingdao, China, Thursday, Leo/Bagas lost to the Malaysian pair Junaidi Arif/Roy King Yap in a three-game match with a score of 13-21, 21-12, 13-21.
"We apologize for not being able to contribute any points. Hopefully, the next representative can pick up points, as the match isn't over yet, and there's still hope," said Bagas in an official statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) after the match.
