The General Chairman of the Indonesian Table Tennis Association (PB PTMSI), Peter Layardi, said that the ban on table tennis athletes from the Indonesian Pingpong League (IPL) from participating in the National Sports Week (PON) was a joint decision of PB PTMSI.
"That was the result of the 2025 National Working Meeting of the PB PTMSI, so please distinguish between personal decisions (and organizational decisions)," said Peter Layardi after the 2026 PB PTMSI National Conference.
Peter made this statement in response to ANTARA's questions regarding information circulating in the community regarding a ban on table tennis athletes under the new IPL organization from participating in the upcoming PON.
