Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior said his team played less calmly when they were held to a 2-2 draw by Leeds United at Stamford Bridge, Wednesday morning WIB.
"Those were two key moments in the game that we didn't handle well, where we didn't stay calm," Rosenior said, as quoted on Chelsea's official website on Wednesday.
In the 26th week of the 2025/2026 Premier League season, Chelsea took an early lead through goals from Joao Pedro (24') and a Cole Palmer penalty (58'). However, the Blues couldn't maintain their two-goal lead when Moises Caicedo fouled a Leeds player in the penalty area, with Lukas Nmecha converting the penalty in the 67th minute.
After that goal, Leeds didn't have to wait long to score a second. Starting from panic in their own penalty area, Noah Okafor punished the home side with Leeds' second goal in the 73rd minute. The goal made the match end 2-2.
"Moi Caicedo is an extraordinary player, he's been very good for me, but he made a bad decision. Even before that situation happened, we also made some bad decisions in terms of how we pressed in that moment, which ultimately resulted in giving away the penalty," explained Rosenior.
