Manchester United manager Michael Carrick is wary of Tottenham Hotspur's attacking prowess ahead of their 2025/2026 Premier League clash at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester on Saturday (February 7).
"They have very good strikers who like to stretch the defense, play forward, and are very aggressive in attacking the penalty box. That's something we have to be wary of," said Carrick, as quoted on Manchester United's official website.
Tottenham's front line, featuring Randal Kolo Muani, Wilson Odobert, Richarlison, Dominic Solanke, Mathys Tel, Mohamed Kudus, and Xavi Simons, has scored 25 goals so far this season.
Carrick said Tottenham also pose a significant challenge, especially considering the way they finished their last match against Manchester City. He noted that the team had lost several players to injuries and had undergone numerous changes, which made the situation even more challenging, but they are now starting to regain their players.
However, the English tactician is still looking forward to the match against the London club, even though he thinks the match will be different from the last match, considering that many Tottenham players have now recovered from injury.
