Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital (Wamenkomdigi) Nezar Patria has asked digital platforms to develop technological solutions to prevent child users from manipulating their age when registering accounts.
Nezar highlighted that children tend to manipulate their age when registering on digital platforms to avoid age restrictions.
"When we access a platform, we're asked for age or date of birth, and that can easily be manipulated by anyone who wants access. We've also collaborated with several platforms to encourage them to provide technological solutions for this," Nezar said when met in Jakarta on Friday.
