One thousand participants took part in the Charity Run for the recovery of North Sumatra.

  Around 1,000 participants took part in the Care for North Sumatra Charity Run held at the East Parking Plaza of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium in Jakarta on Sunday (February 8).

This charity run served as a fundraising platform to support post-flood and landslide recovery in North Sumatra.

Care for North Sumatra was initiated by a group of Batak residents living in Jakarta. Based on their concern for the impact of the disaster in their hometown, the initiative was developed as an open humanitarian movement involving public participation.
