The National Domino Sports Executive Board (PB ORADO) has reaffirmed its commitment to building a domino sports ecosystem through competitions.
The latest is the Domino Branch Championship held simultaneously in 17 districts/cities throughout South Sumatra on Sunday.
"This activity reflects the solid consolidation of the organization and the seriousness in implementing a tiered development system," said PB ORADO General Chair Yooky Tjahrial in an official statement, Sunday.
This event, held by the ORADO South Sumatra Provincial Government, is a way to strengthen organizational governance and the domino athlete development system in a structured and hierarchical manner that is integrated from the district/city to provincial levels.
"Dominoes involve calculating probabilities, accurately reading game situations, high levels of concentration, and emotional control. Official competitions like the Kejurcab (Cab Championship) are a crucial tool for objectively assessing athletes' abilities and preparing them for the provincial and national levels," said Yooky.
In line with this, the Head of Public Relations for PB ORADO, Henry Kurnia Adhi alias Jhon LBF, said that the success of holding this simultaneous Kejurcab strengthens the legitimacy of dominoes as a professionally managed sport.
"The simultaneous holding of the Kejurcab (Regional Championship) in 17 regencies/cities in South Sumatra demonstrates the organization's mature and coordinated capacity. This is not just a competition, but also part of an effort to build public perception that dominoes is a competitive sport with clear systems, regulations, and coaching standards," said Henry Kurnia Adhi.
He added that the organization's communication approach will continue to be strengthened to support the development of Domino's image nationally.
Currently, PB ORADO will continue to focus on strengthening the competition and coaching system throughout Indonesia in order to realize a professional, structured domino sport that is capable of producing high-achieving athletes at the national level.
