Joao Neves confirmed that the atmosphere in the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) dressing room remains positive ahead of the 2025/26 Champions League playoff match against AS Monaco.
The Portuguese midfielder made the statement amidst the spotlight on Ousmane Dembele's comments, which had criticized the team's performance.
"The atmosphere in the dressing room is good, the players are confident, our mood is positive, and we are ready for tomorrow," Neves was quoted as saying by beIN Sports on Wednesday.
Neves believes Dembele's comments were not a form of criticism that would divide the team, but rather an affirmation of the importance of collective play, as seen last season.
"I think Ousmane has already spoken about it. He just wanted to reiterate what we did last season: playing as a team, collectively. That's one of PSG's biggest strengths, and we show it in every game with the way we play. I think that's what he wanted to emphasize," said Neves.
