The Los Angeles (LA) Lakers have acquired the services of guard Gabe Vincent from the Atlanta Hawks and have chosen to release him to the club in a player exchange (trade) deal during the 2025-2026 NBA regular season mid-season transfer window.
The NBA website stated Thursday that Kennard was brought in by the Lakers to add strength in the long-range shooting sector, in order to continue the tight competition this season.
The Hawks agreed to release Kennard in exchange for Vincent's services and a second-round pick in the 2032 NBA Draft.
Kennard's presence is considered to provide a significant addition for the Lakers who are currently experiencing problems with three-point shooting accuracy.
