  The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) is providing 8,000 free Canva Pro accounts for creative talents and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The program to provide tools to support digital content creation is part of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Development's collaboration with Canva, which was marked by the implementation of the "Canva Hangout feat Komdigi: Making Digital Ideas More Real" activity at the Garuda Spark Innovation Hub.

"I congratulate you on the collaboration we are implementing today. This is just the first step. We will continue to expand it in the future so that more individuals and communities can get involved and benefit," said Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid.

Meutya appreciated Canva's global achievements in supporting the birth of new designs through 2025.

"We were quite moved to hear the report that Canva will create 1 billion new designs by 2025. We hope more Indonesian creators will contribute to this significant achievement," he said.

He stated that the creative economy sector currently contributes between 7 percent and 8 percent to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with a contribution value reaching around Rp1,600 trillion per year and absorbing a workforce of more than 50 million.
