Using reserve players, Bhayangkara Presisi silenced Garuda Jaya 3-0.
Defending champions Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi defeated Jakarta Garuda Jaya 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-16) in the second round of the 2026 Proliga at the Bojonegoro Main Sports Hall on Saturday, despite playing with reserve players.

"We've been preparing this team for a long time. And today's victory was quite fitting," said Bhayangkara Presisi coach Reidel Toiran after the match.

Bhayangkara Presisi made extensive rotations, fielding second-string players. In contrast, Jakarta Garuda Jaya fielded a full-strength squad in the final match of the third day of the second round of the 2026 Proliga.

Bhayangkara, with Alvin Daniel, Rizal, Arjuna, Kevin, Zakhid, and Abhinaya, played aggressively from the first set. They dominated the score, leading 18-14 before securing the opening set with a score of 25-17.

Entering the second set, Garuda Jaya put up some resistance. Nur Widayanto's team even held a narrow 8-7 lead early in the set. However, constant pressure from Alvin Daniel and Bhayangkara's solid defense turned the score around to 13-10.

Garuda Jaya, through Agustino and Fauzan Nibras, tried to narrow the deficit to 14-16. However, Bhayangkara's resilience in anticipating difficult passes kept them in the lead 23-18 before closing out the second set with a score of 25-19.

In the third set, Bhayangkara retained its reserve lineup. The match was tight, from 10-10 to 12-12, with Garuda Jaya even leading 10-8. However, Bhayangkara regained their rhythm and raced to an 18-14 lead before securing a 25-16 victory.

Garuda Jaya coach Nur Widayanto admitted his team's lack of stability in this match was a contributing factor to the defeat. "Our players are young and they're always unstable," he said.
