Against PSBS Biak, Imran Nahumarury's debut with Semen Padang
Coach Imran Nahumarury will make his debut as Semen Padang coach in the 25th week of the BRI Super League against hosts PSBS Biak at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman.

Imran took over this position after replacing the previous head coach at Semen Padang, Dejan Antonic.

"We started preparing two days after our last match (against PSIM Yogyakarta). I've just joined here. This is a very important match for us," Imran said, as quoted from the official I.League website.

Imran has a big target for Semen Padang, namely to keep them in the highest caste of football competition in Indonesia.

Currently, the team nicknamed Kabau Sirah is at the bottom of the standings with 17 points from 24 matches, collecting the same points as Persis Solo in 17th place, and only one point away from their opponent, PSBS, who is in 16th place.

With the team's current position in the standings being critical, Imran admitted that his first impression was quite positive after seeing his players enthusiastic about working together to survive in the Super League.

Despite having only been with Semen Padang for two days, Imran also expressed his satisfaction with his players' performance in training. "I see a lot of positive things from the players. I'm also happy that they understand what we have to do in the upcoming match," said the former Malut United coach.
